NBA Grades, Rankings & Analysis

Every NBA signing, trade, and extension graded across four independent systems — performance impact, sentiment analysis, Contract Value Index, and fan voting.

How we cover the NBA

FanVerdicts tracks every reported NBA transaction — max extensions, mid-level exceptions, sign-and-trades, and ten-days — and produces four separate letter grades the day the deal is reported. Our NBA performance grades weight on-court impact using era-adjusted efficiency, volume, and two-way metrics, and our Contract Value Index treats the league's salary tiers (max, super-max, apron, MLE, veteran minimum) as distinct markets instead of lumping them into a single dollars-per-win number.

The NBA hub rolls individual transaction grades up into player rankings, team ratings, and GM report cards that refresh every morning. The trade-values board compares players on apron-adjusted terms so readers can judge trade proposals the way front offices do, and the draft simulator uses real prospect-ranking data so mock drafts reflect actual consensus boards rather than made-up numbers.

Every grade links to written commentary that shows which inputs produced it. Our methodology page walks through how the four NBA grading systems work in plain English.
