Cade Klubnik enters the 2026 NFL Draft as a developmental quarterback prospect whose college career was marked by steady improvement but inconsistent high-level production at Clemson. After taking over as the Tigers' starter in 2023 following D.J. Uiagalelei's departure, Klubnik showed flashes of the arm talent and mobility that made him a highly-recruited prospect out of Texas. However, his tenure was characterized by decision-making inconsistencies and struggles against elite competition. While he possesses the physical tools and football IQ to potentially develop into an NFL backup, his ceiling appears limited by accuracy issues and a tendency to force throws under pressure. Klubnik's best trait is his mobility and ability to extend plays, but he'll need significant development in reading defenses and improving pocket presence to carve out an NFL role.
